Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chief of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi stated that the celebration of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day on August 17, 2025, will be held in Jakarta.
"According to the latest information we have, the celebration will take place in Jakarta," Nasbi remarked during a press conference at the PCO office in Gambir, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
He stated that the event organizing committee has been formed by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and that the PCO is also involved.
Regarding the official logo and theme for the anniversary, the PCO chief remarked that they will be announced directly by President Prabowo Subianto soon.
Nasbi did not specify the launch date but confirmed that it would be announced soon. "We will just have to wait for the date. However, what is certain is the logo and theme will be launched by the president soon," he remarked.
This year's Independence Day celebrations, which will be held in Jakarta, mark eight decades of Indonesian independence. This year is different from the 79th Indonesian Independence Day celebration last year, which was held in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan.
