Trigana Air has cooperated well during the process of evacuation so far."
Jayapura (ANTARA News) - Transport Minister Ignatius Jonan has asked Trigana Air to ensure that the rights of the victims of the recent crash are fulfilled.

"Trigana Air has cooperated well during the process of evacuation so far. It is hoped the rights of the victims are met and compensation due to their families is paid despite a manifest reconciliation," he said on Tuesday.

He said the bodies of all the 54 passengers aboard the Trigana plane that crashed on its flight from Jayapura to Oksibil had been discovered, but they were yet to be evacuated to Jayapura.

Evacuation is expected to be carried out only on Wednesday due to weather constraints.

"Tomorrow, the black box that has been found will be handed over to the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT)," Jonan said.

The Trigana PK-YRN with flight number IL-257 had lost contact over Atenok, Oksob sub-district in the district of Pegunungan Bintang in Papua.

The plane was carrying 49 passengers and five crew members.
