Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo led a limited meeting to discuss the countrys preparations to host the Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP) 2017 and the 2018 Asian Games at the Presidential Office here on Monday.

"At the meeting this afternoon, we will again discuss our preparations to host the 18th Asian Games in 2018," the president stated while opening the meeting.

Also present at the meeting were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nabrawi, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro, National Development Planning Minister Sofyan Djalil, and Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly.

"I want to inquire again, particularly regarding the preparations of the venues to hold the events," the president noted.

The meeting also discussed the trust laid on the country to host the MotoGP 2017, he revealed.

"That is what we will discuss," he added. (*)
