Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten Tbk (Bank BJB) reported Rp1.38 trillion in net profit in 2015 or a 24.7 percent increase from Rp1.1 trillion in the previous year.

"The main factor contributing to the rise in the net profit was a 11.5 percent increase in net interest income and 10.9 percent rise in fee based income," Ahmad Irfan, the president director ofr the bank, which is jointly owned by the West Java and Banten provincial administrations.

In the book year 2015 , the bank also recorded an increase in assets up 16.9 percent to Rp88.7 trillion from Rp75.8 trillion in 2014, Ahmad said here on Monday.

"The assets included third party funds that rose 17.1 percent to Rp67.6 trillion," he said .

By the end of 2015, the banks outstanding credits totaled Rp55.3 trillion or a 12 percent increase from a year earlier.

Consumer credits rose 13.8 percent to Rp38.2 trillion with borrowers rose in number from 350,446 to 364,827 clients.

Corporate and commercial credits also increased significantly to Rp9.2 trillion an an increase of 35 percent.

"Its non performing loan ratio fell significantly from 4.1 percent in 2014 to 2.9 percent by December 2015," he said.(*)
