"I am now Uncle Kaesang."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) welcomed the news that his first grandson was born in Solo, Central Java, on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at around 9:30 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB).

The news of President Jokowis first grandson was received from Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung in a written statement received here on Thursday.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), the first grandson of President Joko Widodo had been born in Solo on Thursday (March 10) at around 9:30 WIB. Hopefully, he would be virtuous and faithful to his parents as well as be in good health and be happy. Aamiin," Pramono noted in the statement.

President Jokowi was in the Cipta Krida Bahari industrial area, Cakung, North Jakarta, to inaugurate the operations of the Bonded Logistics Center (PLB) when his grandson was born.

President Jokowi expressed happiness on the birth of his grandson in front of a group of reporters on the industrial area.

The president who is due to undertake a working visit to Central Java on March 11, 2016, will fly to the province in the evening.

President Jokowis family also seemed happy to welcome their first grandson from Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the presidents eldest son, and his wife Ananda Selvi.

Gibrans brother Kaesang Pangarep, the youngest son of President Jokowi, also tweeted on his Twitter account @kaesangp "I am now Uncle Kaesang."

Gibran and Selvi got married on June 11, 2015, in Solo and had received significant attention not only in the city but across the country.
