Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The attorney general office has accused the Corruption Eradication Commission of breaking the procedure when raiding and sealing the high prosecution office of West Java.
"As far as I know it was against the procedure," Junior Attorney General for Supervision Widyo Pramono, said here on Monday.
The Caught Red handed Operation on two prosecutors of the West Java prosecution office was also against procedure as the arrest was made without official order, Widyo said.
Widyo referred to the arrested of two unnamed prosecutors of the West Java high prosecution office earlier on Monday on charge of accepting bribery.
However, he said he had no intention yet to take legal action against the breach of the procedure by a KPK task force.
"I will study first , seek confirmation of the report, whether there was order for the raid and confiscation of documents.
"Law enforcement has to be based on procedure and law. This constitutional state has to be protected with proper law enforcement," he said.
Unconfirmed reports said one of the two prosecutors arrested by KPK task force has an initial of D who handled corruption case in Subang.
KPK chairman Agus Rahardjo confirmed that KPK had arrested two prosecutors of the West Java high prosecution office but he gave no name.(*)
