"According to the latest information from the Attorney General Office (AGO), there are 15 death row inmates to be executed in the third wave," Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police Commissioner Liliek Darmanto said.
Semarang, C Java (ANTARA News) - Five Indonesian citizens on death row would face the third round of execution soon, a police officer stated.

"According to the latest information from the Attorney General Office (AGO), there are 15 death row inmates to be executed in the third wave," Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police Commissioner Liliek Darmanto noted here on Tuesday.

Five of the convicts were Indonesian citizens, while the others were foreign nationals, Darmanto affirmed.

"The foreign convicts include four Chinese citizens, a Pakistani national, two Nigerians, two Senegalese, and a citizen of Simbabwe," he remarked without revealing the names of the convicts on death row.

He also did not disclose the execution schedule. The execution is planned to be carried out at Indonesias highest security prison, Nusakambangan in Cilacap, Central Java.

The police have expressed readiness to carry out the executions.

"The police have prepared a firing squad. Some 150 personnel from Central Java have been prepared to be the executors," he revealed.

Each death row inmate faces ten shooters.

The AGO announced its decision to execute 14 convicts in 2016 during the discussion of the budget plan with the House of Representatives Commission III.

The first round of executions was conducted on January 18, 2015, with six death row convicts. The second round was held on April 29, 2015, with eight death row inmates. The convicts included Australian citizens, Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan.(*)
