Efforts at prevention should be conducted apart from prosecuting the corrupt."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesia Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has launched a web-based anti-corruption learning medium called Portal Anti-Corruption Learning (ACLC).

The portal, which can be freely accessed by the community, is aimed at supporting the Corruption Prevention Program interactively by making use of information technology, Deputy Chairman of KPK Laode M Syarief said here Friday.

"KPK will continue to familiarize everyone with prevention of corruption. We hope there will be feedback from the community, and hopefully many people will be able to access it for learning," Laode pointed out.

The website is a conscious effort by the KPK to explain that corruption is a common enemy, and that the community should assist the anti-graft body to eradicate corrupt practices to make it effective and beneficial.

The KPK eradicates corruption by means of repression and prevention, Laode stated, and added that the launching of ACLC is also aimed at enhancing efforts to prevent a corrupt culture in the society.

"Efforts at prevention should be conducted apart from prosecuting the corrupt," he cited.

Through the ACLC website, the community can access a number of electronic learning modules. One of them is learning about gratification, which consists of 11 modules that discuss among other forms the limitations and rules of gratification.
