Cirebon, West Java (ANTARA News) - Javas northern coastal highway, locally known as Pantura, is now ready for this years Idul Fitri holiday travelers, according to Cirebon Police spokesman Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sugeng Maryanto.

Maryanto said the highway construction company PT Bina Marga had repaired the Pantura highway, and it was now ready for use by Lebaran homebound travelers, better known as "pemudik."

"We have just received a letter from Bina Marga, saying the repair work on Pantura highway has been completed, and the road is now ready for use," Maryanto remarked.

Although the repair work was said to have been completed, Maryanto said he would re-check the main route and the alternate route that will be used by the "pemudik."

He said if there is still room for some improvement, the police will seek help from the related agencies to make the changes.
