Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State-owned Construction Company PT Adhi Karya had concluded contracts worth Rp5.3 trillion till May 2016, Adhi Karya Corporate Secretary Ki Syahgola Permata stated on Tuesday.

He said the Rp5.3 trillion worth of contract reflected an increase of 14.5 percent, compared to the contracts the state-owned company had concluded during the same period in 2015.

Permata noted in a press release that Rp5.3 trillion worth of contracts accounted for 21.5 percent of the companys target for this year, which was set for Rp25 trillion.

The new contracts covered the TransSmart Srondol building construction project in Semarang, valued at Rp134.3 billion.

The new contracts were dominated by construction projects, accounting for 89.8 percent, followed by EPC 6.4 percent, property 3.7 percent and precast 0.1 percent.

Regarding the type of the projects, the construction of roads and bridges reached 43.6 percent, buildings 41.2 percent, piers 3.9 percent and others 11.3 percent.

About 53.3 percent of the funds for the construction of the project came from the state-owned company, 20.5 percent from the state budget, 2.6 percent from regional government budget and 24.6 percent from the private sector.

The projects are scattered in Java (51.7 percent), Sumatra (40.1 percent), Kalimantan (5.5 percent), Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua (2.7 percent).(*)
