Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) arrived in West Kalimantan on Wednesday morning for a working visit to inaugurate the integrated cross-border post in Entikong.

Boarding presidential aircraft Indonesia-1, the president and his entourage arrived at Supadio International Airport in Kubu Raya District, West Kalimantan Province, at 7:20 a.m. local time.

From the airport, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana were flown by a military Super Puma helicopter to Entikong in Sanggau District for the inauguration.

Earlier, West Kalimantan Governor Cornelis remarked in the provincial city of Pointianak on Monday that the Entikong cross-border post, utilizing highly sophisticated equipment to control and inspect the movements of border crossers, will later function as a custom integrated service center, quarantine, and security point.

After inaugurating the cross-border post, President Jokowi will attend an event to present food supplements and land certificates to local inhabitants of the Sanggau and Kubu Raya districts, as part of a strategic program.

The head of state is scheduled to return to Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon.

His entourage comprises Coordinating Minister for Human and Cultural Development Puan Maharani, Health Minister Nila F Moeloek, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Agricultural and Spatial Planning Minister/Head of the National Land Agency Sofyan Djalil.(*)
