"Besides at the request of the Susi Air management, we have to bring them to Jakarta for a laboratory check to find certainty as the BNN laboratory has complete instruments, including those to check their hair and blood," Edy said.
Cilacap, C Java (ANTARA News) - Two Susi Air pilots were flown from the Central Java town of Cilacap to Jakarta on Wednesday to undergo a laboratory test at the National Narcotics Board (BNN) after they had tested positive for morphine.

The two foreign pilots, identified by their initials as BH and DH, were flown to Jakarta by Susi Air special flight under the escort of chief of the BNN Office in Cilacap district Adjunct Senior Commissioner Edy Santosa.

Santosa told ANTARA that the office initiated to bring the two pilots to Jakarta to undergo a check at the BNN laboratory.

"Besides at the request of the Susi Air management, we have to bring them to Jakarta for a laboratory check to find certainty as the BNN laboratory has complete instruments, including those to check their hair and blood," he said.

He said he decided to send the two pilots to Jakarta after consulting a Susi Air doctor who comes from its head office on Nusawiru Airport compounds in Pangandaran, West Java.

However, he refused to divulge what he had discussed with the doctor and the two pilots.

"We have been determined to send them (to the Central BNN) first. The exact result will come from there," he said.

As reported earlier, a total of 44 people including pilots, co-pilots, stewardesses, aviation students and other employees took urine test conducted by the BNN Office in Cilacap district on Wednesday morning.

Based on the result of urine test, two pilots tested positive for morphine.(*)
