Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Zulkifli Hasan has conveyed the development of state policy formation to President Joko Widodo.

"Widodo says that the state policy is very important. But, we need to see the momentum," Zulkifli said after a meeting with the president here on Tuesday.

The MPR is discussing the concept and formulation of state policy based on the present and future situation in Indonesia.

The materials on the state policy are still being discussed by a number of factions.

The materials have been through a review of the MPRs Assessment Agency, and it will be based on its philosophy and ideology.

"We have agreed on the need of state policy," he added.

The meeting was also attended by four deputy speakers of MPR, namely Mahyudin, Evert Ernest Mangindaan, Hidayat Nur Wahid and Oesman Sapta.

The delegation held a consultation meeting with Widodo to discuss the state policy and Pancasila Institution.

Pancasila Institution is expected to apply Indonesian values to maintain peace and unity of the nation.(*)
