Balikpapan, East Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - The Balikpapan Immigration Office in East Kalimantan Province has deported four Chinese nationals on Monday night, according to the offices spokesman, Bismo Surono.

"Identified as Li Zhiqiang, Yong Wang, Zhoa Minzhao, and Ding Xuguo, the four Chinese nationals were among the 23 foreigners whom we had arrested in a simultaneous operation on January 16-20, 2017," Surono remarked here on Tuesday.

He said the four Chinese nationals who had overstayed their stay permits in Indonesia were deported from the Sepinggan Airport via the Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta where they would be flown to Beijing by the China Southern Airlines.

Surono explained that they were backpackers having a 60-day stay permit. However, their permits had expired since November 2016, and consequently, they were deported on Monday night.(*)
