Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The House of Representatives (DPR) fully supported the cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia through the signing of 11 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in various sectors at the Bogor Presidential Palace on Wednesday (March 1).

"The DPR will also follow up on the discussion with the Saudi Arabian Parliament leaders after two weeks," House Speaker Setya Novanto remarked at the Parliament building here on Thursday.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia signed the 11 MoUs during a bilateral meeting at the Bogor Palace.

The MoUs covered cooperation in the fields of security, health, education, culture, investment, small medium enterprises, agriculture, fisheries, civil aviation operations, Islamic affairs, and the upgrading of the leaders of joint commission meetings.

Novanto noted that even the government of Indonesia has followed up the signing of the 11 MoUs during the bilateral meeting of Jokowi and King Salman on Wednesday.

Boarding four Boeing B747-400 and 200, two Boeing B777, and two C-130 Hercules aircraft, the king and his entourage of about 1.5 thousand people, including 10 ministers and 25 princes, arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday for a state visit and vacation in Indonesia.
