Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) greeted the heads of states/governments participating in the First Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Summit, at the Jakarta Convention Center on Tuesday.

The president greeted them and then allow them to get to their seats, respectively.

After the welcoming ceremony, President Jokowi and the Heads of States/Governments and the heads of IORA delegation members are scheduled to pose for picture.

The Indonesian president is scheduled to open the IORA Summit at 9 a.m. local time, and then to join a public debate, and to sign IORA Concord with the leaders of IORA member countries.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said IORA Summit would be participated in by its 21 member countries and seven dialog partners.

The summit is expected to result in several outcome documents, including the Jakarta Concord, the IORA Action Plan, and the IORA Declaration on Countering Violent Extremism leading to Terrorism.
