Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Minister of Justice and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly said dissolution of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) is related to the peoples concerns over the dynamics of the mass organizations movement.

"Yes, this is the moment we think, we are worried, we must be united in this matter, in other countries it has become a serious concern," said Yasonna at the Office of Vice President in Jakarta, Monday.

Earlier on Monday afternoon, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto held a press conference related to the dissolution of HTI.

In a press statement, HTI, among others, is declared as a mass organization that does not carry out a positive role to take part in the development process in order to achieve the national objectives.

Activities that have been done have caused a clash in the community that can threaten the security and public order and endanger the integrity of the Unitary State of Indonesia NKRI .

The activities carried out by HTI also strongly indicate contradictions to the aims, principle, and characteristics of the state ideology Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia as stipulated in Law Number 17 Year 2013 concerning mass organizations.

Related to the steps taken by the Government for the dissolution of the mass organization which called for "Daulah Islamiyah", Yasonna said the Government is conducting appropriate legal process.

"Anyway, we are taking a step and the legal process is running," he said.

Minister Yasonna added, his side also coordinates with ministries and related institutions, including the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Police.

In the meantime, Chief Political and Security Minister Wiranto said the government will ask the Supreme Court to ban HTI

"In this connection, there will be legal procedure to be followed. The government would not act arbitrarily. We will be guided by the law," Wiranto said.

He said the government is seeking to dissolve HTI as this organization failed to contribute to national development. On the contrary, there are indications that HTI is against the state ideology Pancasila and the Constitution.

"What is certain is that the measure is taken to prevent embryos that would create public disorder, security problem and would grow to be against the existence of the state," he added.

Meanwhile the countrys two largest non political Islamic organizations Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah expressed strong opposition to any attempt to replace Pancasila with other ideology.

Observer said, the ultimate goal of HTI is to establish Khilafah (Caliphate) which is a general leadership over all Muslims in the world. Its responsibility is to implement the laws of the Islam system and convey the Islamic Message to the rest of the world.(*)
