Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received the credentials of five new foreign ambassadors to Indonesia at the Merdeka Palace, here, Thursday.

The five new ambassadors presenting their credentials were respectively Pitchayaphant Chambumido of Thailand, Jose Maria Matres Manso of Spain, Fabian Valdivieso of Ecuador, Masafumi Ishii of Japan, and Dave Chandalai Persad of Trinidad and Tobago.

The head of state was accompanied by First Lady Iriana, Deputy Foreign Minister A.M. Fachir, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Minister/State Secretary Pratikno.

Of the five new ambassadors, four are based in Jakarta and only Ambassador Persad is based in another country.(*)
