Gold Coast, Australia (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian mens single shuttler Anthony Sinisuka Ginting has dramatically defeated Danish player Viktor Axelsen in the second game at the ongoing Sudirman Cup badminton tournament.

Playing in Carrara Sport and Leisure Centre, Gold Coast, Australia, on Wednesday, Axelsen won the game opener with a pretty much amazing score 13-21.

Although Axelsen had equalized a couple of times at 3-3 and 4-4, the top Danish player in mens singles failed to overtake the points that helped Ginting finally seal the Indonesias winning 2-0 over Denmark.

"I did not have any special preparation, but just enjoyed (the game). Although, he ranked above me, I tried to be confident. I also just tried to spur myself to be able to give the best," Ginting disclosed.

In the meantime, Axelsen said he underperformed after playing well in the first game.
