Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia will host the 2018 AFC U-16 and U-19 Championship qualifications in September and October 2017, Deputy Chief of All-Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) Joko Driyono said.

"Indonesia has been appointed by AFC so all expenses will be borne by AFC. PSSI will serve as local organizing committee," he said at the PSSI Office here on Monday.

He said will host Group J of U-16 Asia qualifications which will bring together Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Guam.

In U-19 Asia qualifications, Indonesia will host Group J which comprises Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong and North Mariana Islands.

The U-16 AFC Championship qualification will be held from September 16 to 24, while the U-19 Championship qualification will be held from October 31 to November 8 this year.

"All the qualification matches will be held at Wibawa Mukti Stadium in Bekasi (West Java)," he said adding that Wibawa Mukti Staium is one of the venues for Asian Games 2018 football matches besides Pakansari Stadium in Bogor, West Java and Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium also in Bekasi.

Indonesia will also take part in U-16 and U-19 AFC Championship qualifications. Indonesia belongs to Group G along with host Thailand, Laos, Timor Leste and North Mariana Islands.

The 2018 AFC U-16 Championship qualification is an international mens under-16 football competition which decides the participating teams of the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship.

A total of 16 teams qualify to play in the final tournament, including the final tournament hosts who will qualify automatically as hosts.
