Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has set a date to investigate an auditor of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) over graft case in presenting an unqualified opinion for the financial report of the Ministry of Development of Rural and Backward and Transmigration Areas in 2016.

Yudy Ayodya Baruna would be questioned as a witness in the investigation of the case of Rochmadi Saptogiri, another BPK auditor, who has been named suspect and arrested after being caught red handed by KPK receiving bribe, KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said here on Monday.

Earlier KPK questioned Minister of Development of Rural and Backward and Transmigration Areas Eko Putro Sandjojo as a witness in the investigation of the case of Rochmadi Saptogiri.

KPK also is investigating relations between Eko Putro Sandjojo and Rochmadi Saptogiri.

Eko said he met Mr Rochmadi only at official meetings when his ministry held a meeting with other related agencies including BPK. "I knew him there," Eko told reporters after being grilled by KPK as a witness.

"Eko was questioned in the case with Rochmadi as the suspect allegedly receiving bribe for giving the financial report of the ministry an unqualified opinion in 2016.

Eko denied having met Rochmadi specially to discuss WTP opinion for the ministry.

Eko said his ministry met with BPK as it needed BPK to help improve its financial report, adding," My ministry is one of the fastest in making improvement."

Eko said he did not know about any money collected by the director generals of the ministry to bribe the BPK auditors.

KPK has named four suspects in the graft case including Inspector General of the Ministry Sugito and Rochmadi Saptogiri. The other two suspects are Jarot Budi Prabowo, an employee of the Ministry and Ali Sadli, another auditor of BPK.

The four were arrested after being caught red handed in the bribery case.(*)
