Samarinda, E Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - The Kutai Kartanegara District succeeded in attracting the largest domestic investment (PMDN) among the district areas in East Kalimantan in the third quarter of 2017.

Implementation of PMDN projects in the district reached Rp2.08 trillion in value in the July-September period or more than 60 percent of the total PMDN projects in value in the province of East Kalimantan.

"The Rp2.08 trillion investment was planned in 15 projects under construction," head of the regional One Stop Service and Capital Investment Office (DPMPTSP) Diddy Rusdiansyah said here on Thursday.

The 15 project provide employ 955 workers including three expatriates.

The second largest investment being implemented was in the regency of Kutai Barat with total investment reaching Rp725.93 billion.

The third largest was in the regency of Kutai Timur with investment of Rp515.33 billion in the plantation and mining sectors.
