Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News - Two people were killed and 35 others injured after they fell from a cut-off suspension bridge into a river at Sidangrasa village, in Bogor District, West Java Province.

The ill-fated suspension bridge was found cut-off on Monday, chief of the Tanjungsari police sector, First Inspector Muhaimin said, adding that five people had sustained serious injuries.

One of the victims was a female named Nemih (50) from Bekasi District, who died in the hospital.

The 44-meter long suspension bridge was made of bamboo and was commonly used by local residents.

Majority of the victims suffered a broken bone after falling from the six-meter-high suspension bridge into the rocky river.
