Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) heads a limited cabinet meeting here on Friday on ways to boost investment and exports amid positive economic momentum in Indonesia.

"I want to focus and concentrate more attention on investment and exports," Jokowi said when opening the meeting at the Merdeka Palace.

He said efforts to boost exports should be backed up by development of a number of sectors including sectors of manufacture, energy and mining, health, education, defense industry , agriculture and marine and fisheries.

"All has to be in one line, one direction that any problem could be handled properly," the president said.

He said the country`s economy is in good condition pointing to a surge in the composite share price index of the Indonesian Stock Exchange, increase confidence of foreign investors and the state budget more balanced.

International rating agencies have raised the country`s foreign debt rating and Indonesia has succeeded in improving its rating of "Ease of Doing Business" from 120 in 2014 to 72 in 2018, according to the world Bank.

Among the ministers attending the meeting included Coordinating Minister for Economy Darmin Nasution, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita, and Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman, Marine and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti, Health Minister Nila F Moeloek, Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto, and Head of the Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Thomas Lembong .
