Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The realized investment in Jakarta jumped 84.7 percent to Rp108.6 trillion in 2017 from Rp58.8 trillion a year earlier, the Investment and One-Stop Service Office said.

"The investment value is based on data from the Investment Coordinating Board," the office`s chief, Edy Junaedy, noted here on Friday.

The realization of investments in 2017 comprised domestic investment worth Rp47.3 trillion and foreign investment worth Rp61.3 trillion, he added.

The investment almost more than doubled the target of Rp55 trillion set by the Jakarta provincial government in key performance indicators (KPIs), he remarked.

"The KPI target is set in line with the mission of the medium-term development plan of the Jakarta provincial government for 2018-2022," he said.

He pointed out that the realization of investments was a matter of pride because it is listed as the highest amount received by Indonesia and the first of its kind for Jakarta.

"Between 2012 and 2016, Jakarta was second only to West Java in terms of realized investment. But this time, it (the realized investment) is the highest in the country. We are very proud of it," he added.
