Subang, W Java (ANTARA News) - Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Subang West Java confirmed the death toll from a tourist bus accident,  which occurred here on Saturday, reached 27 people, all women.

"The victim died 27 people, passengers all the mothers," said Head of Public Relations Subang public hospital Mamat Budirakhmat when contacted by cell phone on Sunday.





"All the victims have been evacuated to Ciereng Subang general hospital and the nearest health center," Police Senior Commissioner M Joni from The Resort Police of Subang District when contacted previously.

The road accident occurred in the Cicenang road downhill of Ciater village, in Ciater sub-district, Subang District, on Saturday.

The victims, identified as the tourist bus passengers from the "Permata" cooperatives in Ciputat, South Tangerang District of Banten Province, were on their way home from the Mount Tangkuban Perahu tourist spot in West Java.

When the bus reached Cicenang road downhill, the public vehicle suddenly turned upside down and hit a motorcycle, with the police plate number T 4382 MH.

In the meantime, spokesman of the national search and rescue agency, Joshua Banjarnahor, stated that rescuers, including the Subang Police personnel, have evacuated the victims.

"We have coordinated with the police to carry out the evacuation," Joshua added.
