Jakarta (ANTARA News) - False eyelashes and wigs made in Purbalingga, Indonesia, sold and became the target of the world`s leading cosmetics beauty show, Cosmoprof, in Bologna, Italy.

False eyelashes and wigs products from Indonesia are targeted by the foreign beauty industry players who attended the Cosmoprof exhibition, as conveyed in a press release from Indonesian Embassy to Rome received here on Sunday.

Valentina Bellisario of Fiera Bologna Office, as the organizer of Cosmoprof, appreciated for the presence of Indonesian Pavilion in the exhibition.

According to Bellisario, false eyelashes from Indonesia are high quality and always become favorite of the buyers and exhibition visitors.

Various types of perfumes and beauty creams made in Indonesia are also featured in the trade exhibition.

There are five Indonesian companies participating at the Indonesian Pavilion at Cosmoprof this year. The companies claim besides producing false eyelashes and wigs for some famous brands, they also manage their own label with the same quality but lower selling price.

Trade Attach? Embassy in Rome, Sumber Sinabutar said the Indonesian Embassy in Rome and the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) of Milan organized the Indonesian Pavilion at Cosmoprof as an effort to penetrate the Italian and European markets.

"Cosmoprof is a very potential event to promote beauty products made in Indonesia, considering the large number of visitors and buyers who attend up to 250 thousand people every year," he said.

Meanwhile, the official economic function of the Indonesian Embassy in Rome Aries Asriadi said the potential purchase of Indonesian products at Cosmoprof this year was believed to exceed the value in 2017 which reached US$ 5 million.

The Indonesian Ambassador to Italy, Esti Andayani also reviewed the Indonesian Pavilion at Cosmoprof. In a conversation with exhibitors from Indonesia, Ambassador Esti Andayani encourages Indonesian businessmen to build long-term business relationships with distributors or partners of Italian and European entrepreneurs for business continuity guarantee.

"In order to increase exports, the Indonesian Embassy in Rome continues to actively conduct a series of trade and investment promotion activities as well as business meetings with related partners in Italy. This year, Indonesia`s export growth target to Italy is 11 percent," she stated.

In the period starting from January to November 2017, the value of Indonesia-Italy trade reached more than US$3.1 billion, with a surplus of US$343 million for Indonesia.

After the Cosmoprof event, the Indonesian Embassy in Rome and ITPC of Milan will also facilitate trade promotions at various international exhibitions in Italy this year, such as Salone del Mobile which is the Europe`s largest furniture exhibition, Tutto Food food exhibition, HOMI home decoration and home product exhibition and footwear exhibition.
