Bandung, W Java (ANTARA News) - The House Speaker, Bambang Soesatyo, has urged the national police to take anticipatory action against groups or civil society organizations that try to extort Eid al-Fitr allowances (THR) from business sectors.

"There should be concrete actions to ensure that certain groups who ask for THR do not cause unrest," Bambang said in a press statement obtained here on Sunday.

Bambang also hoped that police at the regional and resort levels are responsive to community reports, including reports on THR demand by certain groups to business actors.

The unsympathetic actions like this must be prevented before it develops into a bad habit, he noted, adding recently it was a viral issue about a letter with a specific form that the content requesting THR to the business actors.

According to him, THR requests in an undue or conceivable manner may not be allowed.

Therefore, Bamsoet asked the police to immediately address the issue with the anticipatory measures or take action, in order to avoid intimidation.
