Karanganyar, C. Java (ANTARA News) - A terror suspect arrested by the police`s anti-terror squad on Monday in Central Java`s city of Solo was allegedly involved in bombing attacks in a restaurant and mini market in the region recently.

The suspect Budi Warsito, a resident of Jati Kuwung, Karanganyar District, was arrested by the Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88).

Karanganyar Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Henik Maryanto remarked that Densus 88 had searched his house in Dukuh Winong, Jati Kuwung Village in Karanganyar District following his arrest at 6:30 a.m. local time on Monday.

He was allegedly involved in the bombing of Candi Resto Solobaru in Sukoharjo and Alfamart minimarket in Solo.

"The suspect is a member of Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) and involved in some bombing cases," he reiterated.

However, the police did not find any explosive materials during the search.

"We seized some evidence during the search but did not find any materials to make a bomb," he added.

He called on the people to increase vigil in their neighborhood and to protect themselves from radicalism.

"We hope that the people would become more sensitive and aware of their own neighborhood, and protect themselves from radicalism," he added.
