Bogor, W Java, (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo received community members and state officials during an open house held at the State Palace in Bogor, West Java, after performing the Eid prayers on Friday.

"Minal Aidin Wal Faizin," he stated while greeting his guests one-by-one upon meeting them at the palace.

The first people to be able to greet the president were his adjutants and those who work in the presidential palace.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla arrived afterwards at around 9:40 a.m. local time along with wife Mufidah. They then greeted the president and First Lady Iriana. They thereafter accompanied the president and First Lady in receiving and greeting other guests, including high-ranking state officials and cabinet ministers as well as business figures and ambassadors from friendly countries.

President Widodo performed the Eid prayers along with other congregation members in a field within the Bogor Botanical Garden near the palace, while Vice President Kalla conducted prayers at the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
