Denpasar (ANTARA News) - The Bali Police will escort the Asian Games torch procession upon arrival at the Gilimanuk Port in Jembrana District to several areas on the Island of the Gods on July 23-25, 2018.

The Asian Games torch is scheduled to stay at the Tampaksiring Palace in Gianyar and Garuda Wisnu Kencana in Badung District when in the island resort of Bali.

For three days and two nights in Bali, the torch will be paraded across several predetermined locations, and the police will escort by regulating the traffic to prevent congestion.

Bali Traffic Police Spokesman Senior Commissioner A. A. Made Sudana remarked here on Friday that the traffic will be managed to prevent congestion while escorting the Asian Games torch during the procession along the road from Gilimanuk to Kuta Beach, Tampak Siring Palace, Gianyar, and to Garuda Wisnu Kencana.

"The Bali Police has deployed hundreds of personnel at several points of intersection, so that the procession of the Asian Games torch can run smoothly in accordance with the predetermined routes," he remarked.

To escort the torch procession, the Bali Police Office has also prepared highway patrol cars to ensure the smooth running of the parade.

"Starting from the Port of Gilimanuk, we have taken precautionary measures for this torch flame relay as per the intended location," he added.
