London (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Ambassador to Britain Dr Rizal Sukma opened the 18th International Scientific Convention of Indonesian Students (ISIC 2018) held at the university of Coventry, here, over the weekend.

Themed "Integrating and Empowering Young Generation through Unity in Diversity to Build the Future of Indonesia", the convention was attended by Head of the Assessment and Technology Application who is also the Research and Technology Minister Dr Ir Unggul Priyanto, President of the Indonesian students Association in Britain dr Eric Daniel Tenda and representative of the University of Conventry Dr David Pilsbury.

The public relation of ISIC 2018, Tiara Mahdani, told Antara London on Sunday, that the scientific meeting of Indonesian students around the world discussed various problems faced in his homeland about Energy in Indonesia`s efforts towards Future Energy Security by presenting speakers of the Deputy Minister of Energy and the 4th Mineral Resources of Indonesia, Susilo Siswoutomo, and Chairman of the Agency for Assessment and Application of Technology, Republic of Indonesia (BPPT), Indonesian Research and Application of Technology Dr. Ir. Unggul Priyanto, with moderator Ngurah Beni Setiawan - PhD Candidate at Petroleum Engineering, Imperial College London.

Highlighting as a speaker on the issue of International Politics and Foreign Policy Challenge is Dino Patti Djalal - The 5th Vice Minister of the Indonesian Foreign Affairs with moderator Lieutenant Colonel Inf Frega Wenas Inkiwarang, PhD Candidate in London School of Economics and Politics, Lecturer at Defense University of Indonesia

While the Health issue is discussed by Papuan Study Circle featuruing as keynote speaker Yorrys Raweyai - Senior Indonesian Politician from Papua with speaker Samuel Tabuni - Chief Representative of the Papuan Desk, the National Development Planning Agency of Indonesia and drg. Aloysius Giyai, M.Kes - Head of Papua Provincial Health Office with Moderator Arie Ruhyanto - PhD Candidate in International Development, University of Birmingham.

In the scientific gathering event, it was also discussed Incubation Start-up for those having a Start-up Idea? Meanwhile, Chairman of ISIC 2018, Gabriella Alodia said that the 18th ISIC event is the highest scientific event held annually by students of the association which has so far been successfully bringing together more than 300 young people from all over Indonesia, - students who are studying at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels will be closed with a cultural night that will feature a variety of Indonesian arts.
