Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched a new slogan of Hajj 1439 Hijri (2018), "the World in the Heart of the Kingdom" and a simple logo that reflects some Hajj rituals.

The slogan, as well as the new identity of hajj, is part of a comprehensive media strategic plan from the Kingdom's Ministry of Information, a spokesman for the Ministry of Information and the Director General of the Government Communication Center, Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Mughlout, told Antara via a short message in Jakarta on Saturday.

The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has set up facilities with the latest technologies to welcome pilgrims from around the world, which reaches around three million people this year, and to make every process of their pilgrimage as safe and comfortable as possible.

Abdullah stated that the preparations are a huge responsibility of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that must be fulfilled for all Muslims of the world.

The slogan and new identity of Hajj 1439 Hijri are also accompanied by a logo, which is simple but full of meaning as it reflects some Hajj rituals.

The logo symbolizes the Kaaba (the center of Islam's most important mosque of Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca).

The semi-circular lines around the square and the word Hajj appear in the round lines that are originally the outer face and the inner letter C. The square of the Kaaba represents its point.

The logo also features the qiblah (the direction that must be faced when a Muslim performs praying) and is reflected in the rotation of the logo, similar to the rotation of the compass.

In addition the Mecca clock, which is represented by the rotation of the logo, and the center square, the centrality of the Mecca site, which is reflected by the comprehensive picture, the logo shows Mecca in the heart of the world.

The land in the upper arches, which is similar to the signal of communication networks, and palms, one of the icons of the Kingdom, which reflect the medical and culture of the Kingdom, appear in the curved lines of the logo.

According to Abdullah, the new identity is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Information in the Hajj plan.

The logo is inspired by the spirit of the world`s pilgrims who come to the Holy Lands.

He noted that the logo, depicting the holy ritual of the pilgrimage, was designed by a group of creative Saudi youth.

The new identity of Hajj will be used on digital platforms, websites, and newspapers, and will be disseminated through digital messages, videos, publications, and other media.

The Ministry of Information supports the work of the Government of the Kingdom institutions as part of its efforts to achieve the Vision of 2030.
