Jakarta, Aug 9 (ANTARA News)- Prabowo Subianto, chairman of Gerindra Party, paid a visit to the residence of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) for 40 minutes in Mega Kuningan area, here, Thursday morning.

Prabowo was flanked by Ahmad Muzani, secretary general of Gerindra, Fadli Zon, deputy chairman of Gerindra, Sugiono, also deputy chairman of Gerindra, and Fuad Bawazier, member of the Advisory Board of Gerindra.

After the meeting, Prabowo Subianto and others left without giving a comment.

In response to the press` question on possible coalition between Gerindra and the Democratic Party, Prabowo briefly said: "It`s being consulted."

Earlier, Andi Arief, a politician of the Democratic Party, had expressed his disappointment, saying that Gerindra carried out transnational politics behind the back of the Democratic party.

He insisted that he had accurate data regarding his accusation.

The meeting between Subianto and Yudhoyono was the third during the last several days.

Yudhoyono, who ruled Indonesia for 10 years, had earlier hinted his official support for Subianto`s presidential candidacy in the next presidential election to be held on April 17, 2019.

Subianto may again become incumbent President Joko Widodo`s rival in the 2019 presidential race.
