Bekasi, W Java (ANTARA News) - Hong Kong beat Laos 3-1 at a Group A match here on Friday afternoon.

In the presence of around 10,000 spectators at Patriot Chandrabaga stadium, Laos tried to attack through two strikers Bounkong Bounpachan and Natphasouk and had the opportunity to score, but it was unfortunately dashed by Hong Kong`s goalkeeper Yuen Ho Chun.

Laos` goalkeeper Paseuth Saymanolynh almost suffered a goal when a ball passing from the midfield slipped from his hands and was snatched by Hong Kong player Matthew Elliot at the 13th minute, but a Laos player was able to abort the attack and avoid the goal.

Hong Kong scored the first goal in the 19th minute after striker Cheng Hin Lung hit a ball and Laos` goalkeeper Saymanolynh failed to save it, as it came from his fellow player, Tan Chun Lok, at a high speed.

After being left behind, the Laos players played more aggressively, creating a yellow card for Kongmathilath at the 30th minute.

Laos` captain Khochalern tried to break the deadlock in attacks by hitting from outside the penalty area but failed to score.

Tan Chun Lok, on the other hand, was able to confirm Hong Kong`s superiority by increasing the score to 2-0 at the 40th minute.

In the second round, Hong Kong continued dominating the game but Laos` player Kongmathilah Phitack was able to score at the 61st minute.

Hong Kong scored another goal through Tan Chun Lok at the 85th minute after the ball he intended to send to his fellow teammate touched the leg of Laos` player Launlasy and went into the net of the Laos goalkeeper to take the score to 3-1 for Hong Kong, and it remained so until the end of the game.
