Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia aims to finish in the top five in the men`s water polo at the Asian Games 2018 due to take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Stadium in Jakarta.

"We are 90 percent ready for it. We will only finalize the strategy for each of different teams," captain of the national water polo team, Rezza Auditya Putra, said on Tuesday.

Japan, Kazakhstan and China will likely dominate the men`s water polo at the Asian Games 2018, he predicted.

"Admittedly, we have set ourselves the target of finishing in the top five," he said.

He said the national water polo team had no significant troubles during the pre-Asian Games 2018 training. "Only in the past few weeks they got a little tired. But that is something normal as they had a lot of training," he said.

The national water polo team received two-week training in Serbia. Last July, Indonesia invited the Serbian water polo team to play against the local team in trial matches for three weeks.

Rezza said his team is ready to compete at the Asian Games.

"As a host, we must do our best," he said.
