Bandung, W Java, (ANTARA News) - Korean coach Kim Hag Bum put the blame on a lack of stamina for his team`s 2-1 defeat to Malaysia in the second match of Group E during Friday's Asian Games 2018 game.

"I think they need to have a rest. But they have no time to take a good rest," Kim Hag Bum said, following the match at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung district, West Java.

Malaysia managed to score two goals, as the Korean players, particularly the defenders, lost their concentration during Malaysia?s counterattack, he said.

Korea largely controlled the ball throughout the match, forcing Malaysia to strengthen their defense.

After all, Kim Hag Bum said, Malaysia played their best, as they managed to cut the passing of the ball, which led to their two goals.

"They are luckier. They cut our passing too much," he said.

Kim Hag Bum apologized to the Korean fans at the stadium for the disappointing result, and pledged to improve on each mistake and win the final match against Kyrgysztan.

"Since we have lost, we must find an easy way to qualify in the group. We will do different things to move to the round of 16. We will improve on our mistakes," he said.
