Jakarta(ANTARA News) - Indonesian wrestling team manager Gusti Randa has expressed optimism his team would be able to win a gold medal from the 18th Asian Games, scheduled to be officially opened here on Saturday evening.

"We will do our best as opportunities are available," he said.

Wrestling will be conducted starting from Sunday to Wednesday (Aug 19-22) at the Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center.

Men`s 57kg, 65 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, and 97 kg freestyle categories will be competed starting at 1 p.m. on Aug 19.

On the second day, it will be women`s 50 kg, 53 kg, 57 kg, 62 kg and men`s 125 kg freestyle.

On the third day, it will be women`s 68 kg and 76 kg freestyle and 60 kg, 67 kg Greco Roman.

The last day, or Aug 22, will be for the competition of 77 kg, 87 kg, 97 kg, and 130 kg Greco Roman classes.

Qualification to the final round matches are scheduled everyday, offering five gold medals on the first and second day and four on the third and fourth day.

A total of 18 gold medals are offered, consisting of six for men`s freestyle, six for men`s Greco Roman, and six others for women`s freestyle.

A total of 18 silver medals are prepared for runners-up and 36 bronze medals for wrestlers beaten in the semifinal rounds.
