Palembang, S. Sumatra (ANTARA News) - Sepak Takraw match in the 18th Asian Games would for the first time since 50 years use the challenge system to improve the games' quality.

"The new system is expected to become a breakthrough in the game. This is for the first time in the world and it will be broadcasted live," President of the Asian Sepak Takraw Federation (ASTAF) Dato Abdul Kadir bin Kader said here on Sunday.

The challenge system would allow coach and team manager to lodge a protest when they saw anything considered to be unfavorable to the team, by making a challenge call to see whether the ball was in or out, or whether it fell in front of the baseline, using the monitoring camera.

ASTAF would set 24 cameras with a speed of 100 frames per second, in addition to other advanced technology to support the system application.
