Palembang, S Sumatra (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian women`s national team lost to Chinese Taipei in the qualifying round of Group A soccer match of the 18th Asian Games at the Jakabaring Sriwijaya stadium in Palembang on Sunday night.

It was Indonesia`s first defeat after the first match when it crushed the Maldives squad of 6-0.

Since the early minutes, the Chinese Taipei Soccer Team immediately played half of the field in the heart of Indonesia`s defense.

Only five minutes later after the kick off, the Chinese Taipei scored a goal through Yu Hsiuchin.

The chances of the home team are almost non-existent. The striker Mayang only had one chance to break through the Chinese Taipei midfield.

As a result, successive goals were scored in the 16th minute through Chan Pihan, 33rd minute through Lin Yahan, and 39th minute through Pao Hsiuchin. Of the four goals in the first half, three goals were created through header using a cross.

The Chinese Taipei team comprising: Chu Fangyi (gk), Lin Kailing, Jhuo Lishan, Pao Hsinhsuan, Chen Yahuei, Lin Yahan, Wang Hsianghuei (c), Yu Hsiuchin (Lee Hsiuchin/46), Lai Lichin (Zhuo Lipin/80), Chan Pihan, Ting Chi (Chen Yenping/46).

Indonesian team: Boma Norffince, Kartini Safira, Riski Vivi Oktavia, Oktafiani Ade Mustikiana (c), Septiawati Tia Darti, Novryliani Maulina (Purnama Nur Laily/83), Sada Yudith (Sari Jesella/36), Mulyasari (Putri Rizky/90), ZP Mayang, Muzdalifah Zahra, Meryfandina.
