Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An Indonesian wushu athlete, Lindswell Kwok, won a gold medal at the women`s Taikiquan-Taijijian event after satisfactorily scoring 19.50 in a match held at the JIExpo, here, Monday.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), along with Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi, Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto, who is concurrently the chairman of the Indonesian Wushu Association (PBWI), and Chef de Mission (CdM) of Indonesia Syafruddin, were present at the JIExpo for the wushu match.

This is the second gold medal for Indonesia as of day two of the 18th Asian Games being co-hosted by Jakarta and Palembang (South Sumatra Province), from Aug 18 to Sept 2 , 2018.

Some 17 thousand athletes and officials from 45 countries are participating in the largest multi-sport event in Asia.
