Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Four Indonesian women`s freestyle wrestlers were defeated on the second day of the Games held in the Assembly Hall Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) here on Monday.

Wrestler Dewi Ulfah was defeated by Ti Ha Phuong from Vietnam in freestyle-53 kg, while Mutiara Ayuningtias lost the match to Nabira Esenbaeva from Uzbekistan in the 57 kg category.

Wrestler Dewi Atiya in the 62 kg category was defeated by Ayaulym Kassymova from Kazakhstan, while Eka Setiawati lost the match to Yuki Irie from Japan in the freestyle-50 kg.

Indonesian wrestling coach Fathur Rahman admitted that his athletes` performance was outclassed by the other athletes and hence the team did not set any target to grab a medal.

"Women wrestlers are still far below other countries. There is no target set for women`s wrestling. But we still have some hope for men`s wrestling," he added.

The team still has the chance to win a bronze medal in repechage, but it would have to wait for the result of the other matches.

Repechage is a practice in series competitions that allows participants who failed to meet qualifying standards by a small margin to continue to the next round.
