Jakarta0 (ANTARA News) - The Jakarta drinking water company (PDAM) has established a joint team to ensure clean water supply during the Asian Games 2018.

" We have established a joint team to monitor and assure clean water supply during the Asian Games 2018," Chief of the joint team for Asian Games 2018 water supply Elly Darmawati told Antara here on Monday.

The team, with 70 members, would involve two drinking water operators in the capital city, namely Palyja and Aetra. They would be tasked with monitoring clean water supply and ensuring water supply to all venues of the multi-sport event.

"During the Asian Games, the joint team would have the authority to conduct a detail check and maintenance, in order to secure water supply and maintain its quality," Darmawati remarked.

The team would send water trucks to all venues when needed as soon as possible.

"Before the Asian Games started, we have conducted routine monitoring on the supply, once a week. During the Asian games, we will monitor it twice a day," she added.

The team has opened a call center (021) 86909999 and (021) 5746130 for the public to report disorder in clean water supply.
