Palembang, S Sumatra (ANTARA News) - Two Indonesia`s men`s beach volleyball teams have secured their tickets to the Asian Games 2018 semifinals, after one of them outplayed their Chinese rival on Saturday.

Duo Ade Candra Rachmawan and Mohammad Ashfiya, who played for Indonesian men`s beach volleyball team one, outclassed Jiaxin Wu/Mutailipu Aboduhalikejiang of China 2-1.

Indonesia scored a 21-16 win over China in the first set.

At the start of the second set, Indonesia lagged behind China and later managed to equalize 17-17. However, the host team lost 19-21 to China.

Indonesia won the third set with 15-7 to qualify for the semifinals.

In the semifinals, Indonesia`s men`s beach volleyball team 1 will meet Indonesia`s men`s beach volleyball team 2, consisting of Gilang Ramadhan and Danangsyah Yudistira Pribadi

Ade Candra Rachmawan remarked that his team has targeted to get through the semifinals. "Of course, we will play maximally to reach the finals. We are waiting for instruction from our coach because we do not know how to play," he pointed out.
