Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Eight weightlifters will vie for a gold medal in the men`s 105 kg category of the Asian Games 2018 at JI Expo, Kemayoran in Jakarta on Sunday.

Among the eight weightlifters, Ruslan Nurudinov of Uzbekistan has the highest entry total of 415 kg and Jamil Akhter of Pakistan has the lowest entry total of 300 kg.

The eight weightlifters are expected to wage a fierce competition as their entry totals are not different so much.

The other weightlifters including Salwan Jasim Abbood Alaifuri of Iraq, Ali Hasemi and Mohammadreza Barari of Iran have an entry total of 410 kg each.

Meanwhile, Hulyeop Seo and Jeong Kisam of South Korea have an entry total of 407 kg and 403 kg respectively, and Taro Tanaka of Japan has an entry total of 371 kg.

No Indonesian weightlifter will compete in the event which will start at 5 p.m. local time.
