Jakarta (ANTARA News) - National rally driver Rizal Sungkar believed that the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang does not only bring healthy and sportive competition in the field, but also positive atmosphere for the country.

"The 2018 Asian Games gives a positive aura for all Indonesians and promote sportive behaviour in all elements of life," he said here on Sunday.

Rizal, who is son of rally driver Helmy Sungkar and Kamaria Ekawanti, said that he is proud of the commencement of the 2018 Asian Games, that is now entering its eighth day.

From the preparation, down to the event itself, he continued, it was apparent that the support from both the government and the people are massive.

"This will be a great capital for Indonesia to contribute more in the international stage," said the 2017 National Rally Champion.

He also said that the sportive atmosphere, brought by the Asian Games is tremendously positive for the children of the nation.

"Sports bring so much positivity to people, and the people should take this positive energy and implement it in their day-to-day lives," he said.

Furthermore, he also touched on the fact that after the 2018 Asian Games finishes, Indonesia will be left with sports facilities that meet international standards.

"This need to also be used maximally to promote advancement of the nation and its future generation," he concluded.
