Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian pencak silat athletes Ayu Sidan Wilantari and Ni Made Dwiyanti won a gold medal in the women`s double art category event held in Padepokan Pencak Silat in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, on Wednesday.

With this victory, Indonesia has won a total of 10 medals in the traditional sport at the 2018 Asian Games.

The Indonesian pair, scoring the highest of 574 points, defeated Thailand`s Saowanee Chanthamunee and Oraya Choosuwan in the second place and Malaysia`s Nor Hamizah Abu Hasan and Nur Syazreen A. Malik in the third place.

Chairman of the Indonesia Pencak Silat Federation Prabowo Subianto awarded the medals to the winners.

Wilantari and Dwiyanti delivered a perfect performance and made it like a real fight.

The Indonesian contingent has lodged a protest over the timer official`s move to stop the game eight seconds before its allotted time of three minutes.

Three gold medals were up for grabs in the art category in the men`s single, women`s double, and women`s team.

Five gold medals will be contested in the fighting category: in the men`s class J 90-95 kg, men`s class F 70-75 kg, women`s class D 60-65 kg, men`s class C 55-60 kg, and women`s class B 50-60 kg.
