Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s Pancak Silat athlete Hanifan Yudani Kusumah presented a 13th gold medal in the martial arts event after beating Vietnamese athlete Thai Linh Nguyen with a score of 3-2 in the men`s C category of 55 kilograms-60 kilograms of the Asian Games here on Wednesday.

At the beginning of the first half, both athletes played safe, with not many points given by the five referees.

Even though the two players launched attacks on each other, they were unable to gain points. In fact, both got a one-point deduction for violating the rules.

The two fighters violated the rules in the second and third rounds too.

Hanifan was twice given a violation, receiving in a three-point deduction. In the third round, Hanifan almost lost to Vietnam.

However, with the encouragement given by Indonesian supporters, especially the support of President Joko Widodo who attended the match, Hanifan was able to score points.

Finally, Hanifan was able to win with a thin score of 3-2.
