Palembang, S Sumatra (ANTARA News) - Indonesia added a bronze medal to its collection here on Saturday after its men`s soft tennis team beat Mongolia, 2-0, in the quarterfinal round.

The Indonesian team, however, failed to proceed to the final round after being defeated by South Korea, 0-2.

"We have done as maximally as possible. We should have been able to do it just now. Today is not our day, but they indeed have played more aggressively," Indonesian singles player Alexander Elbert Sie noted after the match.

The Indonesian women`s team had to pack up without any medal, as it failed to pass the quarterfinals after being beaten by China, 0-2.

With the last bronze medal, the Indonesian soft tennis team has collected four medals comprising one silver from men`s single player Alexander Elbert Sie, one bronze medal from men`s single player Prima Simpatiaji, and another bronze medal from women`s singles player Dwi Rahayu Putri.
