Jakarta (ANTARA) - Japan became the overall champion in the 2018 Asian Games judo sporting competition held for four days at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta from 29 August - 1 September 2018.

The Japanese judo contingent won nine gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal. In second place, there is South Korea with four gold medals, six silver medals and three bronze medals.

Next in third place is Kazakhstan which has one gold medal, one silver medal and three bronze medals.

Japan is almost certain the overall champion of the 2018 Asian Games judo

While Indonesia did not get a single medal. The best achievement was inscribed by Ardelia Yuli Fradivtha judoka in the female -63 kg class who advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Nepalese judoka Phupu Lhamu Khatri in the last 16.

But in the quarter-finals Ardelia failed to repeat her success and was defeated by Japanese judoka Nami Nabekura. The second chance for Ardelia in the repechage round, also still had no results after losing to South Korean judoka, Heeju Han.

The third day of the judo branch, Indonesia has not managed to get a medal.

Judo National Plate Manager admits that Indonesia has not been able to compete in Asia.
